Shipping & Delivery

Where we deliver

We deliver to mainland Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) only.

We do not currently deliver to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the Scottish Islands, or any address outside the United Kingdom.

Delivery charges

Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the cylinder size and quantity ordered, and are shown in full before you place your order. Refrigerant cylinders are classified as dangerous goods and are carried by a specialist carrier, which is why carriage is charged rather than included.

There are no additional surcharges, handling fees or fuel levies beyond the charge shown at checkout.

Timescales

Handling: 1–2 working days. Transit: 2–4 working days. Total: 3–6 working days.

Important: these timescales run from acceptance of your order, not from the moment you place it.

Because we sell only to F-Gas certified undertakings, every order is held pending certification verification before it is accepted. The clock starts once verification is complete. See our F-Gas Certification & Eligibility Policy for how that works and how long it takes.

For a first order from a new account, please allow additional time for the verification step. Once your account is verified, subsequent orders proceed straight to handling.

How we ship

Refrigerant cylinders are pressurised goods subject to the Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009. They are consigned with the required documentation, labelling and placarding, and carried by a carrier approved for the relevant dangerous goods class.

This means:

  • Business addresses only. We cannot deliver to residential addresses, PO boxes, parcel lockers, parcel shops or collection points.
  • Someone must be present. A person competent to receive dangerous goods must be available to accept and sign for the consignment. We cannot leave goods in a safe place, with a neighbour, or without a signature.
  • Delivery is to the kerbside or ground-floor delivery point. The carrier will not carry cylinders into buildings, up stairs, or into plant rooms.
  • Check before you sign. Please inspect the consignment for visible damage before signing.

If delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available, the carrier will attempt redelivery or leave contact details. Repeated failed delivery attempts may result in the consignment returning to us, and we may charge the cost of redelivery.

Tracking

We email you a dispatch confirmation with consignment details once your order leaves us. Because dangerous goods consignments are not always carried on standard tracked parcel networks, the level of tracking detail varies by route. If you need to know where a consignment is, email contact@refsolutions.shop with your order number and we will chase it with the carrier.

Stock availability

Availability is shown on each product page. Where an item is out of stock it is marked as such and cannot be ordered.

If an item becomes unavailable after you order but before we accept the order, we will tell you and cancel that line at no cost, releasing the payment authorisation in full.

Delays

Delivery timescales are estimates and are not guaranteed. Dangerous goods routing is more sensitive to carrier scheduling than standard parcel delivery, and consignments can be held where a carrier's dangerous goods capacity for a route is full.

If your delivery is running late, contact us at contact@refsolutions.shop and we will find out what is happening. If a delay becomes substantial, you may cancel the undelivered part of your order for a full refund.

Damaged consignments

If a consignment arrives visibly damaged, note it on the carrier's paperwork, photograph it if it is safe to do so, and contact us the same day. Do not attempt to move, vent or connect a cylinder that appears damaged. See our Returns & Cancellations policy.
