R-1234YF (Honeywell Solstice yf) is a hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerant. HFO refrigerants are made up of hydrogen, fluorine and carbon atoms and feature a double bond between the carbon atoms, making them a modern option for air-conditioning systems.
Because of this composition, R-1234YF does not deplete the ozone layer and has a very low global warming potential. It is suitable for systems designed for R-1234YF and meets or exceeds AHRI 700 standards.
